[Happy New Year to my readers! Happy 2016! May your wishes be fullfilled this year! I am offering an apology for not being consistent with my writing blog posts. I am taking up lessons lately and I've been very busy! However, if I ever again happen to miss out on important astrological happenings, then I will make up with other posts that you may find even more interesting. Maybe info will be coming in more scarce but however it will be done more meticulously and in detail for everyone to enjoy!]

This is rocky a month we have ahead! Just a few days prior to this NM Mercury has begun his retrograde journey moving again backwards towards the beginning of Aquarius and then straight into the Capricorn sign's territory (01-08-2016). Also, on January 3rd, Mars moved into Scorpio!This first New Year's (2016) New Moon takes place in the sign of Capricorn, at 19 deg 13', at 3.30 am (Greece time). The Ascendant falls in Scorpio. Thus, our feelings will be running deep; there will be intense feelings of jealousy and possessiveness and increased sexual longings-for that will warm our crisp cold winter days -- and nights! Romantic bits and bytes will pop up here and there with the Venus - Neptune and Venus - Chiron square. We may feel shy and unloved or wounded by love, but will also act very clingy towards a current or potential partner. Relationships that begin now will carry the promises of a new, long - term love or partnership that also holds the key to our heart through the elements of romance and idealization. Falling in love with an older person (Saturn - Venus conjunction) should also not be ruled out.
Mars in the 12th denotes hidden nastiness and many psychological troubled waters as the month progresses. Many renowned astrologers believe that Turkey belongs to the sign of Scorpio. Mars sesquiquadrates Chiron in the 4th house. There's a wound that we -- the Greeks -- carry as a nation, facing resentment and anger that aims to leave us without natural resources (that are underground and into the depth of the sea - Pisces in 4th). There might be some mini war episodes or power show - offs by the Turks (taking place in the open air (Aquarius), where Mercury first started the retrograde motion). The telly will be flooded with news about a (potential) new currency (Mercury ruling currency), the refugees and political estimations. Mercury is now supported by strong aspects, but it is foreseen that the country will not go into elections -- yet. The most probable scenario playing out is that of a reformulation of some kind and the further break - down of other parties that do not follow suit along the lines of the new Memorandum. Older people will now suddenly come into attention and there is a possibility of the formulation of a new party that will be mainly consisting of young members. People will be in for a change and they will be actively seeking it anyhow -- politically speaking.
The government will do favors to attract more voters (Sun - Moon - Pluto - Mercury conjunction trining Jupiter in Virgo). Hmmmm... Does this sound familiar? Saturn trines Uranus however, and Uranus squares this New Moon stellium in Capricorn. Many changes will take place in high positions and in places of power and most of them will come out of the blue -- or not! We are in for a surprise if we ever get to the point of finding out the power turnovers that are now taking place in secret. The general population will feel psychologically, materially and physically exhausted and will take very seriously matters regarding their assets. There will be a "flaky" feeling of prosperity and success which will finally prove to be temporary. The Europeans may be doing our politicians some favors (not without a promise of "something" in return!) and vice versa, but it seems that the Americans will be more strict with helping us out or lending us more.
It seems that 2016 will be a very interesting year -- even more so than 2015! .. And this shows almost right from the start.....
